All expired copyrighted material is known as being in the public domain . Public domain works may be freely copied without permission or charge because no one owns it.So what does that mean for you?
Public domain material can be a great source of quality content for your blog, reports, and even books! However, it is very important to ascertain that the content is, in fact, in the public domain.
If the copyright date on a piece of published work is 1922 or earlier, the item is considered to be in the public domain and may be freely used. When you find public domain content that is relevant to your blog, break the material down into smaller sections and post them separately.
You can find books with expired copyrights at used bookstores, at the local library or on eBay. There are many books being sold which were written before 1922. The main source for public domain material would be books with expired copyrights.

“If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.” ~Milton Berle
In every aspect of life, there are people who are considered experts in a given subject. They have a deeper knowledge and understanding about a topic than others. Your visitors might be interested in reading interviews with these experts.
Create a series of ten to fifteen questions, and send an email requesting a short Interview. Most of experts understand that their interview will be placed on your blog, which could bring additional targeted traffic to their site and, as a result, generate more sales for their products It is not difficult to convince them to answer your questions because it is a win-win situation for both of you.
Look through all affiliate links that you promote on your blog. Choose a product’s owner or book’s author that you want to interview. When the interview is completed, place it on your blog as a separate page. Do not forget to insert your affiliate link each time the expert mentions his or her site or product.

| Forum as a great source of a never ending fresh content
|

Utilizing a forum is an amazing way to get people to create free original content. You can create your own forum by using the free forum software at: Phpbb.com ( the best free scripts available.)
After choosing a forum platform, finding a web host for this forum is the next step. There are free forum hosts such as Myfreebulletinboard, Forumforfree, Forumsplace. Use them only if you do not have the ability to pay for your own web hosting. Fortunately, you can find web hosting for less than five dollars a month.
By having your own hosted forum, you avoid all the advertising that the free forums use. These advertisements are distracting and sometime annoying to your visitors. Besides by paying for hosting, you will be able to insert your own affiliate links to the products that are interesting to your visitors. This will cover the costs of your hosting expenses with affiliate commissions.
Having your own forum could be a great source of a never ending fresh content for your blog. As the owner of the forum, you can use any part of a popular discussion and place it as a separate post on your blog with a link back to where the discussion takes place.
By doing so, you will be killing two birds with one stone, so to speak. You will get free content for your blog generated by the forum and , at the same time, will not lose any traffic.

| Free Articles
|
|
Thousands of free articles can be found through such directories as Articlecity, Ezinearticles and many more. In fact, there are so many articles directories on the Internet that I created a page listing all the directories known to me. Click here to see all the article directories
By typing a key word in the search field of any article directory, you will be able to find a great deal of information related to your topic. You are more than welcome to use any article. Although these articles are free, the authors must be credited by placing the author’s bio at the end of the article with a working link.
This is one of the disadvantages of using free content. Your visitors might click the author’s link and jump to his or her website by-passing the remainder of your blog. Remember that there is a price for everything, and accept the fact you are paying for the free content by possibly losing some of your visitors.
However, you can make this loss less painful! Before using any free article, check the author’s website. If he or she runs an affiliate program, join the program, and place your affiliate link pointing to the author’s site. Now if some of your visitors leave your blog and buy products from the author’s website, you will earn a commission.
Some free articles are out-dated, but you can make them stand out by writing your own commentary prior to, or immediately following the free article. By doing so, you will bring your personality to the subject and gain the confidence of your visitors.

Read this first:What is affiliate program and how to find relevant affiliate programs
Some blog owners have the impression that the Google AdSense program and affiliate links can not survive together on the same blog. They are concerned that the Google AdSense can affect the affiliate commissions in a negative way. This is not true.
On average, only three to five percent of your visitors actually will click the Google AdSense ads. Ten percent is considered a high rate of clicks. Lets assume that you have a 10% click rate with the Google AdSense What about the other 90% that visit your blog? That is 90% of your visitors who might click one of your affiliate links!
Other Affiliate Brokers
Shareasale.com Once registered, you can participate in any number of merchant programs, accumulating your earnings and receive one monthly check . Sharesale offers payment via check and Direct Deposit. Payments are made to those affiliates who have reached the $50 minimum before the end of the previous month.
Amazon.com The Amazon affiliate program is the best known and the oldest of programs. Amazon started as a book selling site, but later added DVDs, videos, electronics, and many other items. Its commissions are not as big when compared to other affiliate programs. However, what is nice about Amazon is that it allows the creation of affiliate links to specific products. If you want to enhance your blog with relevant information and help your visitors in their search, then redirect them to Amazon through your affiliate link. When a customer makes a purchase from Amazon, you will receive a percentage of the profits.
LinkShare.com With thousands of merchants in their network, this is one of the largest affiliate brokers. Among their merchant companies, you will find big names such as American Express, Macy, Match.com, Chase, Cingular, Target, WalMart, Nordstrom, and many more.

Read this first: Commission Junction (C.J.)
Along with Clickbank, C.J. is a great option for the novice. It has a very easy to use affiliate program directory and, like ClickBank, has a rating system. To understand how this rating system works, log into the C.J. account. Click the “GET LINKS” hyperlink, and type in any keyword related to your blog.
In my example I typed the word ”dogs” and chose only the U.S. based companies.

As a result, ten U.S. sites related to dogs products and services showed up. View the screen shot below: at the top are the “Network Earnings,” and “3 Month EPC” links (EPC means earnings per click).

If you click the “Network Earnings” link, you will be able to see the rating of companies, based on the volume of paid commissions. The picture will change to this:

The green line represents the amount of commissions paid. The longer the line the greater the payment activity.
CJ has a few other ratings such as sale, lead rating, “7-day EPC,” and “3-month EPC” rating.
The “3-month EPC” is a very important rating to check because it shows how well an advertiser converts website visitors into buyers over a three-month period. The companies with the highest conversion rate are listed first. In this example the picture has changed to this:

In contrast to ClickBank, another big affiliate broker Commission Junction (C.J.) represents sites that offer thousands of physical products and other non-downloadable services. Start for free by signing up. Once you begin to earn money, you will get paid in one monthly commission check for all the online partnerships that you develop through Commission Junction. Along with Clickbank, C.J. is a great option for the novice
Unlike ClickBank, some vendors listed with the C.J. network require each affiliation to be approved before you can join the program. However, most of C.J.’s programs will automatically give approval and immediate access to the different banners, links, and scripts with your affiliate ID. Just copy and paste them into your blog.
What I also like about C.J. is that many of the advertisers allow the creation of search boxes for specific products. It works like a charm when blog visitors use the search box to find a specific product directly from your blog.
There are some advertisers on the C.J. network that offer free catalogs, free magazines, and other free services. They pay affiliates per customer registration ( per lead.)
If you find “per lead”programs related to your blog , join them and earn money each time a visitor to your blog applies for the free item or service. What could be better?
