Let’s assume, you chose two ebooks from the same ClickBank category to promote on your blog. The first ebook is rated at the top of the category and the second ebook at the bottom.
Imagine that you refer 200 visitors from your blog to the first ebook and 200 visitors to the second ebook. The first ebook has a sale page with a very good conversion rate of 1:25, and eight sales were made. The sale page for the second ebook has a much lower conversion rate of 1:200, and you made only one sale!
The first ebook brought in eight times more sales than the second e-book. This is an example of the power of conversion.
You have to think hard about which affiliate program to choose. Obviously, it is safer to choose ClickBank products that have a top rating in each category. Does this mean that you should never promote products which are not listed on the first page? The answer is, No!
Some items that have been listed on the first page will move down the list as time passes, and will be replaced by new products. This does not mean that the product has become bad, but rather the market has become a little bit tired from these long time bestsellers.
When you develop the necessary skills and understand more fully how the system works, then you will able to make money from almost any product, including ex-bestsellers. But in the beginning, it is better to stick with the proven winners. Sign up here with ClickBank

Affiliate networks usually represent hundreds of advertisers, and more importantly, they collect all of your earnings from the different vendors and pay with ONE check. Even if you make $5.00 with one program, $15.00 with a second, and $10.00 with a third one, you will get paid with one check!
There are two Affiliate brokers that any new entrepreneur should sign up with: ClickBank and Commission Junction (C.J.)
ClickBank Best Affiliate Network For Beginners
The most generous commissions one can earn is by promoting digital products such as ebooks and software. Sellers of these digital products offer up to 75% commissions and sometimes more because there is no shipping costs or physical inventory involved. After a payment has been made, customers will be able to download the ebook or software directly to their computers.
The best place to find such generous affiliate programs is Clickbank. ClickBank pays affiliates twice a month as long as their accounts have earned a minimum amount of $10.00.
ClickBank represents thousands of products, which are listed by ratings. You don’t have to understand all details of ClickBank ratings, just remember that products located on the first and second pages of each category are the leaders. The top ten to twenty products in each category have high conversion rates. These sites are very successful at converting Internet shoppers to buyers. What does that mean to you? More sales!

What is Affiliate Program and How to find relevant affiliate programs
Choose affiliate programs that are interesting to your visitors, but do not put many offers on one page. When potential customers get too many choices, they usually end up with choosing nothing. If you concentrate on promoting just one or two products and services, your visitors will be less reluctant to make a purchase.
Below I have listed the most popular affiliate payment plans:
Pay-Per Lead
You get paid for each visitor you send to the merchant site that performs an action such as registering for further information, filling out a survey , requesting a free brochure or signing up for the merchant’s newsletter. How much an affiliate gets paid per lead depends on the program. Payment can be as little as fifty cents and as much as thirty to fifty dollars per registration or per request for information.
Pay-Per-Click
With this type of program, you get paid each time a visitor to your blog clicks on the affiliate link. The amount of money that you can get for every click can vary greatly.
Pay-Per-Sale
You get paid each time a visitor, you send to the merchant’s site, purchases its product. You will get a percentage of the sale or a fixed amount per sale, depending upon the merchant’s affiliate plan.
When joining an affiliate program, always pay attention to the minimum payout amounts.
Most companies do not pay until the affiliate has earned a minimum of $50 to $100. For example, if a company has a $50 minimum payout but you only earned $35, you will not receive a check until the total is greater than the minimum payout. If a company has a $100 minimum payout and you have earned $95 dollars, the same will hold true. A check will be sent out only when your earning meets the minimum amounts needed to be paid.
New affiliates often get caught in this situation. If they fail to meet the criteria of the sponsor, they must wait until the minimum requirement is met.
Fortunately, there is a much better option for the novice. Rather than signing up with each individual affiliate program, you can sign up with advertising brokers, also known as an affiliate networks. Advertising brokers work as the middle man between affiliates and merchants sites.

There are entrepreneurs, who concentrate only on AdSense program, making a six figure income. They are continually coming up with new subjects for their blogs and sometimes need to hire people to run their community of blogs.
However to be on the safe side, I suggest that you do not put all your eggs in one basket, but have at least one alternate source to insure your income. With that said, another simple and popular means of earning income through the Internet is with affiliate programs.
What is Affiliate Program?
Affiliate programs are used by large companies and small business owners who are seriously interested in getting new customers and want to expand their business as widely as possible. By offering commissions from 5% to 75%, these businesses encourage people to promote their products and services.
When looking for the right affiliate program, you have to be completely focused on the subject of your blog . Conduct research and join only those affiliate programs that offer products and/or services matching your blog content. Otherwise it will be a waste of time, regardless of how good an affiliate program is or how much it pays.
You can find affiliate programs literally on any subject. The quickest way to find relevant affiliate programs is to visit Google or Yahoo search engines and type any keyword +affiliate program.
Here are some examples:
“credit card” + “affiliate program”
“fishing” + “affiliate program”
“real estate” + “affiliate program”
“bra” + “affiliate program”

Writing is one of the few professions in which you can psychoanalyze yourself, get rid of hostilities and frustrations in public, and get paid for it.” Octavia Butler Read this first:
How to choose a subject for your blog (1) Brainstorming to find your blog topic (2)
- Start a blog sharing your diet secrets, the exercise program, menus, vitamin supplements, and anything else that you have done to win the weight loss challenge. There are thousands and thousands of people who are looking for this type of information every day.
- What if you failed to loose weight? Don't you think that it also can be a subject for your blog? This subject might attract even more attention than a blog filled with success stories. There are so many more people who have tried to lose weight and failed to do so. A blog about the reasons for failing to lose weight may, in fact, help others to finally get on track or discover what has prevented them from achieving a weight loss.
- Just about everyone loves to travel or has a deep desire to travel. Whether it be across town or across the country, from the Island of Britain to the sands of Egypt, or from coasts of Spain and France to the vastness of Russia and the mysteries of the Middle East, we all want see and feel the adventure of travel.
- What if you have never left your hometown, but are tremendously fascinated by geography and have learned, as much as possible, about these exciting places? Could not that be an excellent reason to start a blog? A blog about the many interesting places in the world should entice others to share their experiences.
By doing so, your blog may encourage visitors to travel for the first time or for more experienced travelers to seek another adventure. (By the way, travel related AdSense words are very well paid.)
- Do you enjoy collecting stamps, coins, costume jewelry, antiques, glassware, dolls, toys, or one of the many other collectable items? Your blog could be about your specialized collection enabling the sharing of information back and forth between interested visitors.
- Are you a photography enthusiast? This is a great area for a blog because your knowledge and expertise could keep you and many others enthralled for a long time.
- If you think you have run out of ideas, start writing down all the TV shows that you follow very closely. You can make blogs for people, who enjoy shows such as American Idol, Lost, Seinfeld, Law and Order, Star Gate SG1, Friends, Desperate Housewives, and the countless other shows that are or have been on the tube.
- If you run out of TV shows, start thinking about your favorite musicians, bands, favorite actor, favorite author, playwright and so on. People, fascinating places and interesting things will always make for a good blog. All you need to do is to choose something that you are passionate about.
Do not try to brainstorm by yourself. Ask family members to help. You will be surprised at how many brilliant ideas you can come up with! Even 30 minutes of brainstorming can bring many ideas to the table. You might face a problem of deciding which is the best way to go!
Warning!
If you really want to earn money from Google AdSense, then your blog should not include content such as : violence, racial intolerance, hacking/cracking, Illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia , pornography, adult, x-rated content, gambling, or casino related content. Sales or the promotion of certain items such as beer, hard alcohol, tobacco, promotion of prescription drugs, sales or promotion of products that are replicas or imitations of designer goods.
